This low spreading ground cover carpets the desert in great pink masses. It thrives with little care once established. In winter in mid-elevations, it will die back to the ground but will return the following springs.
Planting instructions: Needs warm days and cool nights to germinate. Fall and springs are best. Ideal planing conditions occur when the average daytime temperature is 75-80F and the average nighttime temperature is 50-55F. If seeds do not germinate at the time of planting, they may come up in the future when conditions are ideal. As temperature is a critical factor in germination, in colder climates plant early in the fall and late in the spring. In warmer climates, plant late in the fall and early in the spring.
