Recap: Desert Market Grand Opening

To celebrate the opening of our newest location we threw a big shindig and our local community SHOWED UP! The support we received from fellow business owners and friends from near and far was overwhelming.

We felt the love from longtime desert friends and ones we made the day of opening. Our inventory planner Amanda made the trip out from rural Pennsylvania with her family, along with friends from LA and even old Virginia friends from high school!

The day was a wonderful blur filled with fun things for our guests to do and experience. Jason Steady was on-site doing custom chain stitching and performing with his band, Old Grass, alongside Lolly Goodwoman. They performed country covers and changed some of the lyrics to mention All Roads!

We had coffee tasting by Desert Rat Roaters who locally roast their beans in Joshua Tree. And Andrew Casey, a friend we’ve known since living in Philly who now lives in Landers, was there taking photos.

Guests sipped on drinks from Calidad Beer, Betty Booze, and Betty Buzz while tasting marshmallows from Mojave Mallows and various snacks we carry at the market.

Thank you to everyone who showed up—your support means the world to us! We feel incredibly lucky to be a part of this community and can’t wait to see how we can grow together.
