Our friend Lizz Lapp of Hi Desert Times, the ONLY magazine shop in the hi-des, hosted SAVEUR Magazine for their re-launch into print.
We were asked to provide tablescapes and linens for the party which inspired us to create a new product, another item to add to our low waste collection. We created custom cocktail napkins using leftover scrap textiles from our Spring 2024 production. We even overheard several guests say they were going to have as many drinks as needed to make a complete set. Good thing we just officially launched the cocktail napkins in packs of four so everyone will have a full set! We loved how cute these napkins looked and how much color they added to everyone’s drinks.
It felt like a big deal for our small high desert community (even 29 Palms city officials were in attendance!). Chef Coral Lee of Nice Dreams Ices cooked several artichoke-focused recipes from the magazine and served their famous ice cream cookie sandwich. Guests sipped on drinks from Tequila Ocho, Widow Jane, Blue Goat Gin, and RUMOR Rosé, and enjoyed an all-vinyl set by desert local DJ JoshR.
Hi Desert Magazine is part of a small, curated mini-mall called Corner 62 and we love what they’re doing in 29 Palms. Together they’re collaborating on producing great events, like art shows, book readings, music, and more that bring the local community together. They are definitely a must-visit in the hi-des.
