Planting Instructions: Lupine seeds need warm days and cool nights to germinate. Fall and spring is best. Ideal planting conditions occur when the average daytime is 75-80F and the average nighttime temperature is 50-55F. If the seeds do not germinate at time of planting, they may come up in the future when conditions are ideal. As the temperature is a critical factor in germination, in colder climates plant early in the fall and late in the spring. In warmer climates, plant late in the fall and early in the spring.
Mix seed in a bucket of sand. Broadcast over soil with a loosened surface - rake in about 1/2". Soak area gently but thoroughly. Keep moist until plants appear (2 to 6 weeks). Water once a week until well established. Desert wildflowers, once established, require minimal water.
